Project updates 6/8/26 - 6/12/26

Hello Stakeholders,

Below are project updates from this week, as well as for the upcoming week (June 8th - 12th):

  1. A walkthrough was conducted with the landscaping contractor to review remaining restoration work along 10th and 11th Streets, and Franklin, Roosevelt, Harrison and Colorado Avenues. The team also reviewed the West 10th Street segment between Colorado and Douglas Avenues to prepare for landscaping work that will be needed in the coming weeks.
  2. The concrete crew completed repairs to several inlets and applied grout around pipe connections within the inlet structures.
  3. We are awaiting the completion of construction surveying to determine what improvements will be needed along the north side of West 10th Street between Douglas Avenue and Lynx Drive. Design modifications were made to ensure proper roadway drainage, and the survey results will help guide the next phase of work.
  4. Paving is now complete on 10th Street east of Colorado Avenue, including the intersection of Colorado Avenue and 10th Street.
  5. The project team will review the revised plans for West 10th Street and then begin removing sidewalk sections and preparing the roadway for new curb, gutter and sidewalk improvements along the north side of the street.
  6. Project staff continue to communicate with property owners along the Little Barnes Ditch, providing updates on current work activities and available project information. This outreach is intended to keep residents informed and address concerns that have been raised to City Council members.

Weather permitting, work activities are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm.
