Project Updates 5/11/26 - 5/15/26

Hello Stakeholders,

Below are project updates from this week, as well as for the upcoming week (May11-15):

1. Tuesday’s storm brought some much-needed moisture but temporarily halted work for a few days. With the snow now melted, crews are focusing on cleaning up mud and excess water throughout the project area.
2. On Monday, the concrete crew poured curb, gutter, and sidewalk along the east leg of West 10th Street on the south side adjacent to the apartment complex.
3. Before the storm arrived, the pipe crew completed the tie-in and flow-filled the remaining section at 10th Street and Colorado Avenue. Crews are allowing the intersection time to dry before resuming work in that area.
4. Connell Resources is also cleaning up the project staging area and removing excess materials in preparation for final site restoration once the project is completed, anticipated by mid-June 2026.
5. The concrete crew will continue progressing west along the south side of 10th Street from Colorado Avenue to Douglas Avenue. Work will be completed one access point at a time to help residents maintain access to their properties. For the property with only a single access point, crews are coordinating closely with the resident and will use high-early-strength concrete so access is only impacted for one day.
6. The base crew will return to continue reconstruction and cleanup work at the 10th Street and Colorado Avenue intersection. The concrete crew will also complete replacement sections of sidewalk, curb, gutter, and cross pans in the area.
7. The base crew will also begin removing sections of the north half of 10th Street where additional drainage improvements are needed to carry water across the roadway from north to south.

Thank you for your patience as we enter the final weeks of this project - a major effort that began five years ago. More updates will be shared as we continue moving toward project completion.
