Project update 7/6/26 - 7/10/26
Hello Stakeholders,
Below are project updates from this week and for the upcoming week (July 6 - 10).
As a reminder, no work will occur on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
- The base crew prepared the section of West 10th Street between Colorado Avenue and Douglas Avenue for paving.
- Crews replaced sections of the base course and subgrade that did not meet proof roll requirements to ensure a stable roadway foundation.
- On Wednesday, July 1st, the paving crew placed the bottom lift of asphalt on West 10th Street from Colorado Avenue to Douglas Avenue.
- The project team conducted a walkthrough of the Phase 4 roadways east of Colorado Avenue to identify any remaining items that need to be completed before shifting work to the west side of Colorado Avenue.
- The paving crew also completed asphalt patching over abandoned utility locations near the project trailer on Birkley, as preparations continue to remove the trailer and restore the site to its original condition.
- Next week, Hoff Concrete plans to complete the inlet at Lynx Drive and West 10th Street, as well as replace several curb, gutter, and driveway sections where drainage improvements are needed.
- Landscaping work will continue on the east side of Colorado Avenue as site restoration progresses.
Weather permitting, work activities are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm.
