Construction Update: April 13-17

Hello Loveland!

Construction along North Taft Avenue is wrapping up, with crews completing final stormwater and waterline improvements.

Project Progress

Concrete work at 18th Street is progressing well, including sidewalks, ADA ramps, and intersection improvements.
At 22nd Street, crews are building new stormwater inlets and completing final pipe connections.
All major underground pipe installations are nearly complete, with final connections expected next week.
Rock stabilization (rip rap) at 18th Street is now complete within the lake and continues at remaining outlet locations.
Several side streets, including 28th Street, North Lake Park Road, Abarr Drive, 25th Street, 20th Street, and Connecticut Court, have been milled and repaved in sections.
Crews have begun removing equipment and materials as work winds down.

Look Ahead

Crews will continue working over the next few weeks to complete remaining stormwater structures, finalize pipe connections, and finish concrete work at 18th Street and 22nd Street.
Rock stabilization at outlet areas will be completed, followed by restoration of disturbed areas and overall site cleanup.
A final stormwater walkthrough is scheduled for next week ahead of project completion.
Stormwater installation is expected to wrap up by mid to late April, with final cleanup and demobilization continuing into early May.
Full roadway paving on Taft Avenue is tentatively expected to begin around May 4, pending final coordination. This work is expected to take a few days.
Shoreline stabilization work between W. 22nd Street and 25th Street was delayed due to high lake levels. This work, including riprap installation, is now tentatively planned for winter 2027 as conditions allow.

Working Hours

Weather permitting, crews work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional Saturday work.
