Roadway Safety Matters

Roadway safety is important. An average of 1,820 crashes are reported each year (120 involve serious injury or death). These crashes affect Loveland's wellbeing. They impact families, workplaces, emergency responders, neighborhoods, livelihoods, mobility, and more.


What is the Loveland Citywide Roadway Safety Study?

The study created a roadway safety program based on data and safety concerns in Loveland. The study included strategies for safety improvements, from infrastructure to enforcement and education. Locations were evaluated and prioritized for potential improvements. The study focused on vulnerable road users and explored how equity impacts safe mobility. Participant feedback was used to create a new Citywide roadway safety program that will improve traffic safety conditions for all modes of travel.





Roadmap to Safety is Now Available!

The Roadmap to Safety is now available for review and download via the "Documents" section of this webpage. The Roadmap to Safety provides detailed guidance for improving roadway safety across the city. The document identifies prioritized locations for recommended safety improvements; types of improvements; strategies for mitigation, processes, programs, education; and more that, when applied systematically across the city, will “move the needle” toward Loveland being a community where travel using any mode is safe and comfortable.
