Weekly project update 9/21/26 - 9/27/26

Hello Stakeholders!

Here are the project updates for the week of 9/21/26-9/27/26:

  • Block 5 (Garfield to Railroad Ave.)
    • Vehicle access will be limited to Garfield Ave. only.

  • Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing at 4th Street
    • Access across the BNSF railroad tracks is FULLY CLOSED at 4th Street.
    • All foot traffic will need to cross the tracks at a legal crossing located at 1st Street or 6th Street.

  • Block 4 (Cleveland to Railroad Ave.)
    • Block remains closed to vehicle traffic; businesses are open to pedestrian access.
    • Concrete work, boulder seat walls, and concrete pavers.

  • Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 5
    • Permanent sculptures will be installed, which may require the temporary closure of parking spots to accommodate equipment.
  • Garfield Ave. (1st to 7th Street) (non-project related work)
    • Asphalt paving
    • Expect on-street parking closures and lane shifts.
  • Block 3 (Lincoln to Cleveland Ave.) (non-project related work)
    • Westbound 4th closed to vehicles for steel beam installation at 209 E. 4th Street/Sky Bear Brewery and Pub and building demolition work at 225 E. 4th Street/The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant.
    • Expect sidewalk closures directly in front of buildings, please follow posted signage.

  • Sweetheart Alley (Lincoln to Cleveland Ave.) (non-project related work)
    • West half of alley closed from Cleveland to 225 E. 4th Street for building demolition and asbestos remediation work.

  • Painter’s Alley (non-project related work)
    • Beginning 9/21, City of Loveland Utilities will excavate an area behind the Love Shack at 120 E 4th St at the alley T to install a new 5x8 underground electric power vault.
    • The vault will feed one or more new transformers, to be installed the week of 9/21 or 9/28, weather permitting.
    • The new transformers are due to be energized the week of October 5.
