Weekly project update 8/17/26 - 8/23/26

Hello Stakeholders!

Here are the project updates for the week of 8/17/26-8/23/26:

• Block 5 (Garfield to Railroad Ave.)
  • Vehicle access will be limited to Garfield Ave. only.
• Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad crossing & 4^th Street
  • Access across the BNSF railroad tracks is fully closed to vehicles.
  • South parking lot accesses and pedestrian crossings at the tracks will shift; please follow posted signage.
• Block 3 (Lincoln Ave. to Cleveland Ave)
  • Protective scaffolding will be erected in front of 209 E. 4^th St. at Sky Bear Brewery and Pub on Monday, 8/17 in preparation for demolition work.
  • Two adjacent parallel parking spots will be closed during construction (8/17-9/1).
• Block 4 (Cleveland to Railroad Ave.)
  • Block remains closed to vehicle traffic; businesses are open to pedestrian access.
  • Sidewalk replacement work continues. Please expect crews working as early as 5 a.m. to accommodate business hours.
  • Concrete work, fiber optic relocations and power infrastructure are underway.
• Cleveland Ave.
  • West on-street parking closures between E. 6th Street and Backstage Alley
  • West lane closure at E. 4th Street: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Garfield Ave. (1^st to 7^thStreet) (non-project related work)
  • Concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk replacements.
  • Expect on-street parking closures and lane shifts.
