Weekly project update 10/12/26 - 10/18/26

Hello Loveland!

Here are the project updates for the week of 10/12/26-10/18/26:

  • Block 5 (Garfield to Railroad Ave.)
    • Vehicle access will be limited to Garfield Ave. only.
    • Concrete sealing at 4th & Garfield intersection. Lane shifts with flagging operations.
  • Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing & 4th Street
    • Access across the BNSF railroad tracks is fully closed to vehicles.
    • Pedestrian crossings at the tracks are shifting; please follow posted signage.
    • Crews will be paving at the Railroad Avenue (west) intersection and adjacent west parking lots. Please follow posted signage.
  • Block 4 (Cleveland to Railroad Ave.)
    • Block remains closed to vehicle traffic; businesses are open to pedestrian access.
    • Punchlist items.
  • Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 5
    • Permanent sculptures will be installed, which may require the temporary closure of parking spots to accommodate equipment.
  • Block 3 (Lincoln to Cleveland) (non-project related work)
    • Sidewalk closure at 225 E. 4th Street; please follow posted signage.
  • Painter’s Alley (non-project related work)
    • The alley will be closed in both directions due to safety concerns, as open trenches are present on both sides.
    • The crew will begin saw-cutting and trenching the asphalt to reach the north side of the alley. A total of eight conduits will be installed from the main vault to the north side of Painter’s Alley.
    • Digging will begin for a 5’x5’ vault on north side of alley.
    • The installed conduits will be flow-filled up to the top of the asphalt to safely cover the trench to maintain drivability and pedestrian safety.
  • East 1st Street and East 2nd Street (non-project related work)
    • Tree removal operations on October 15 will result in a full closure of the northbound-only lane of N. Railroad Ave. between E. 1st St. and E. 2nd St. The southbound lane will remain open.
